Better Breathers.

The group follows guidelines established by the American Lung Association, Areas of discussion include: learning to cope, living with pulmonary disease, breathing techniques, and a medication review.

Cardiac Rehabilitation:

The cardiac rehabilitation program at JCHC has been formed to meet patient needs following a cardiac event or heart surgery. Its goal is to help patients build up cardiopulmonary strength to prevent further cardiac problems and complications.

The JCHC outpatient cardiac rehab program is available by appointment with the rehab nurse. A doctors referral is necessary.

 

Pregnancy and Childbirth Classes

We offer a serires of six classes designed to prepare you for pregnancy, childbirth and the early weeks with a newborn.
The classes are open to everyone and are free to JCHC patients.

Celiac Support Group

The Celiac Support Group provides an opportunity for the fellowship and support in managing the lifestyle changes that accompany dietary illnesses.

This group provides education for those newly diagnosed with dietary disorders, and updates for everyone on current information regarding the gluten-free-diet. Ideas are shared on food preparation, where to shop for special foods needed for this diet, and dining out. All individuals with any type of dietary illness are invited. Family members are encouraged to attend the meetings.

The Bereavement Services of Susie Bowling Lawrence Hospice can help you cope with death and grief. If you are interested in additional information and regarding the grieving process and the expected emotional reactions, please call our office.
